Locally known as the "Wapsi", this 300 mile river offers endless opportunities for avid fisherman, kayakers, and adventurists.
The Wapsi River hosts a variety of fish species, diverse wildlife, scenic bluffs and sandbars. It is a popular destination for fishing enthusiasts.
Quasqueton has Wapsi River access above the stretch of rock arch rapids located on the far north end of the campground and a second access point right next to the bridge, below the rock arch rapids. Kayak and canoe access and launch pad is located by the pavilion in the middle of the campground.
Seasonal camping available in over 35 beautiful riverview sites along the Wapsipinicon River.
Each camping reservation offers water and electrical hookups, showerhouse access, picnic table, fire ring and a dump station. A playground is on site for the children, as well as a couple public pavilions to host small gatherings.
The campground contains two river access points for boats, a canoe and kayak launch and riverbank fishing, including handicap accessible fishing.

The residence lies on a limestone bluff overlooking the Wapsipinicon River and is carefully maintained by park staff.
The estate includes the only original Wright-designed boat pavilion still in existence. Iowa is home to ten Frank Lloyd Wright’s structures, and Cedar Rock is the only one with his coveted signature tile.
Open to the public 5 days a week from Mid-May into early October. Reserve a tour by calling 319-934-3572 or emailing cedar_rock@dnr.iowa.gov.

The Visitor Center is ADA friendly; though the historic house may present some challenges. Please call to inquire about accommodations.
Hike the trail to the Walter Estate. The trail is about 3/4 of a mile one way and covers diverse habitats within the 426-acre site.
